Paper Abstract:      The application potential of so called “embedded systems” as a new generation of networked, intelligent technical systems and equipment is diverse and will successively capture our learning life. This paper focuses on the one hand on existing mobile learning aspects, on the other hand on technology-driven developments with expected influences on mobile learning (e.g. ubiquitous learning, “wearables”, brain-computer-interfaces). Upcoming tech-trends such as “smart” and “ubiquitous” technologies (will) influence more and more our learning processes in the present and in the future. After the presentation of tech-trends aspects of Privacy in the connection of (possible) mobile learning applications will be mentioned.
